Hi, my name is Betty Rubinstein.
I was born in Riga, Latvia. Married with two sons.
I have been painting and drawing for as long as I can remember. In my family, many relatives are artists and musicians.
I was sailing with my husband for many years, and in each country learned local art, but especially my paintings are influenced by such great artists as Paul Cezanne, Vincent Van Gogh and Claude Monet, and very transparent light and strong energy that I am filling in Israel.
In my paintings, I am not exactly sketching the subject that I see. I paint what appears behind the husk of external form and show the essence of the matter. I try to capture the feel, the very aroma of such ephemeral things, as the light and atmosphere of landscapes and the present of something beautiful that only God can create.
I want to motivate people whose daily lives are enmeshed in complexities of the modern world, to stop for a moment and recall the purity and gentleness of nature, to enjoy the silence of it all.
I Thank the Lord for the blessing that he gave me of being able to touch the hearts of people through the medium of my paintings and art, and that these paintings are a common language for people from worldwide.
Behind supreme control of various techniques as drawing, watercolor, photography, paintings with oil and acrylic color are long years of practice at the Rozental`s High Art school and ART Academy in Riga, Latvia, Oranim College and Haifa University where she earned her B.A. in Art.
My paintings have been exhibited in the Art Center of Tel Aviv-Jaffo, the Naval Museum in Haifa, the Castra Art Center in Haifa, the Gerar Behar Theater in Jerusalem, the International Congress Center in Haifa, the Museum "Bar`am" in Galilee, the Main Gallery in Artists Village Ein-Hod and are to be found in private collections in Israel and abroad.
